Oppps, misread the price.

It is 8.95 DOLLARS per month.

So... 6-7 euros.

The system is fairly easy.

I paid first month. If someone wants to add some days,

you can do so by pressing the goddamn "Add days" button.

Pretty self-explanatory after that.

The domain will be enjin, unless we buy external domain.

But we got 5 bg of file space, so let's stick with that, I read some domain companies prizes, they are... shit.

And what about adding additional pages to the existing ones? Does enjin support HTML editing?

I were thinking, 5 gb of storage space, we could upload the demo installer and all the mods there.

Section 1: Competition Section (Clan Based Ladder)
1. Ladder description

First of all, what is a ladder? Take it as a big competition with no end. Clans and teams sign up, and compete versus each other in different divisions. Why choose to sign up in a ladder? Because clans and teams that sign up in a ladder get to compare their skill with other clans/teams in the ladder in an efficient ranking system, which is backed with screenshots and optional video evidence. This means the end of wars where both clans claim to be the victor due to missing screenshots, falsified scores and other mistakes that would normally occur in a non-ladder clan war. All clan wars (or wars that occur in the team-based ladder) will be logged on a special page, with specific information on each war such as the date it occurred, the two opposing clans, the game mode, the servers on which it occurred, the victor (and the score), and screenshots, of course.

There will be two kind of ladders in this demo : a clan based ladder (CBL) for up to 8 clans, and a team based ladder (TBL) for cups, with an unlimited number of teams (minimum number of players is three players per team).

The clan based ladder will be the ladder which will regulate each and every demo war from now on. It will use the official SW Demo War Protocol, which you can consult in the “Clan War” section.

Up to 8 clans are eligible to register in this ladder. Due to the demo’s small size, there will be no divisions based on skill for now. All clans will challenge each other every weekend at specific dates.

All clan war results (with screenshots and optional video evidence) will be uploaded to the SWD Community website in the appropriate section, as well as the official SWD Community YouTube channel. Clan wars may also be live streamed on Xfire.

All wars will occur on the SWD Community War Server, which is hosted in Canada. We may add a second war server for people in Europe too later depending on the success of the ladder.

Since this ladder uses the SW Demo War Protocol, all wars will be in a 5 versus 5 format, no more, no less. Needless to say that all wars will be Pure (if no mod is used) and Unpure (if a mod is used, such as custom maps).

In which game modes/maps can I compete in? Pretty much everything! The SWD Community provides a fine selection of custom maps in addition to the unmodified, pure game modes that already exist in the demo. A few of the categories, maps and game modes for this ladder are available below:

- Infantry 5v5 Trap Town CTF (Unpure)
- Infantry 5v5 Trap Town TDM (Unpure)
- Infantry 5v5 Fight For All Conquest (Unpure)
- Infantry 5v5 Factories TDM (Unpure)
- Infantry 5v5 Factories CTF (Unpure)
- Tanks 5v5 Hellendoorn Conquest (Unpure)
- Tanks 5v5 Hellendoorn TDM (Unpure)
- 5v5 Hellendoorn Conquest (Pure)
- 5v5 Hellendoorn CTF (Pure)
- Dogfight 5v5 Hellendoorn (Unpure)
As you can see, there are many categories to choose from, and many maps, too! Speaking of maps, you can download the many custom maps this ladder uses at the end of this document. Instructions on how to install as well as screenshots are provided!

2. Rules and ladder specific server settings (Clan Based Ladder)
2.1. General rules
Participating in this ladder, but also in the team based ladder, is a privilege which can be taken from you at any time by the SWD Community admins. Please make sure to follow the rules below at all times, and always show sportsmanship. Be modest in victory and never taunt your opponents. If you do so in an abusive manner, you will be repeatedly warned before being kicked/banned.
- Please refrain from insulting your opponents at any time
- Stay modest in victory, do not brag abusively
- Do not, at any times, rage quit during a clan war. If you do so, the opposing team wins automatically
- If you must leave during a match, say so before you disconnect (and why) and pick a backup in your line-up to replace you
- Of course, it is needless to say that hacking is strictly prohibited and will be punished by a permanent ban from the ladder and SWD Community
- Excessive bugging/exploiting is not allowed. Doing so deliberately will get you a ban from the SWD Community
- All admins must take screenshots of the IPs of each players playing in a war before and after the war. More about this in the SW Demo Clan War Protocol section
- All players must wear their respective clan tags at all times during the wars. Not doing so will give you a warning, followed by a kick and a ban if necessary
- If you have to disconnect from the server because you get the typical “Warning, connection problems detected error”, it is probably because the server host is changing maps. In that case, don’t leave the match, simply refresh the Internet server list for the server to reappear and change the mod accordingly manually. This is where Xfire communication between leaders and members is crucial
- Please stick to one nickname for all your matches, to keep things simple for everyone
- Screenshots will be taken at the end of each round for the clan war log. Wars without screenshots will be considered invalid and will have to be redone
- Clan leaders are responsible for enforcing the rules on the server. They act as referees, and will be given remote admin privileges over regular members
- If there is a conflict between clan leaders on which team should start on the Allied/Axis side, a sudden-death knife round will precede the match to determine who starts axis first
- Clan war rounds last 30 minutes and there are 3 of them (best of 3). Score limits are unlimited
- Please be on time for your scheduled matches! A clan/team has the right to claim a forfeit win if one of the opposite team's members doesn't show 5 minutes after the scheduled time
- There is room for up to 4 spectators on the war server
- There will be a reserved slot password which will be sent to those spectators if they wish to watch the match
- Remote admins (clan leaders, which are ladder admins) must use their authority moderately when arbitrating a match. Do not favor your clan simply because you have the power to kick

2.2. Ladder specific rules

2.2.1. Infantry 5v5 Trap Town CTF (Unpure) Rules

- Expacks at flag poles are allowed, and so is any form of explosive
- Do not camp main CTF flag bases; steal the flag and capture it
- Don’t play hide-and-seek around the map, it’s annoying and ruins it for everyone
- Don’t camp in the tunnels
- Don’t use the flash nades abusively
- No crate/sandbag prone bugging
- Do not use the super zooka

2.2.1.1. Infantry 5v5 Trap Town CTF (Unpure) Server Settings

*The Trap Town map is needed to run this mod! Make sure you have it on the server before starting it!
The war server will be run with the Battlefield 1942 Server Manager v2.0, which you can download in the file download section of this site. Remote admins will have to download the Battlefield Remote Manager v2.0 to use their administrative privileges. It can also be found in the file download section of this site.

Below is a summary of the server settings that are automatically generated in the “ServerManager.con” file located @C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942 Secret Weapons of WWII Demo\Mods\bf1942\Settings by default every time a server is configured. Open this CON file with a text editor, delete all the lines of code you see there and replace them with the ones below.

3. Joining process
Please note that only clan leaders are eligible to register their squad to the ladder. Right now, there is room for up to 8 clans, of 5 players at least each (so 40 players total). Clan members that aren’t members are not eligible to register their clan for the ladder.
Ladder registration will be done during a precise period (which usually lasts two to three weeks, before the beginning of a season), on the official SWD Community forums. A clan which is deemed not active enough will be kicked off from the ladder and replaced with a more active one.
It is the responsibility of the clan leaders of having active and dedicated members that will show up at the wars! We will not run after you!
Clan leaders that wish to register their clan to the ladder must fill in the following application and submit it to a SWD Community administrator for review and approval, on the forums. Approval usually takes a day or two, and is given by the admins of the SWD Community.
a) The name of your clan, and the tags of the clan
b) Your nickname
c) Your Xfire (if you don’t have any, provide your MSN or e-mail address)
d) Your roster (your members, at least 5 are needed for clan wars)
e) Your location (priority is given to American and European clans)
f) Your clan’s website/forum URL
g) Your experience with server management/remote server management
h) Your ladder of interest (choose between Infantry 5v5, Tanks 5v5 or Dogfight 5v5)

4. Ranking system
The ranking system for the ladder is pretty simple. Every war will be logged to the “Clan War” page of the website, and documented as well as possible (main actions, opposing clans, date and time, game time, mods used, screenshots, optional video evidence, IP screenshots).
In addition to this, clans will be able to compare their skill with other clans. Since there are basically three ladders within the clan based ladder (Infantry, Tanks and Dogfight), there will be three different scoreboards. Below is the method which will be used to calculate points for each scoreboard:
GP = Games Played
CR = Clan Rank
CN = Clan Name, w/ location
V = Victory
L = Loss
D = Draw
CP = Cumulative Points (V = 2pts, L = 0 pts, D = 1pt)
CCTFP = Cumulative CTF Points
CTDMP = Cumulative TDM Points
CCQP = Cumulative Conquest Points (total tickets, basically)

5. Admin recruiting process

To be a ladder admin, you must be a clan leader which has registered his/her clan to the clan based ladder. It’s a simple as that. Once a clan leader has done so, he/she will receive remote admin privileges and will be able to arbitrate ladder clan wars with moderation.

Section 2: Competition Section (Team Based Ladder)
1. Ladder description

The team based ladder (or TBL, for short) differs from the clan based ladder in the following aspects: first, it’s primary use is strictly for competitions (cups, tournaments, etc) and no other form of competition.

Second, there can be much more teams (and we say teams, because clans are not eligible to join this ladder) in this ladder than in the clan based ladder, simply because the minimum number of players in the TBL is 3 instead of 5 for the CBL.

A third element which differs from the CBL is the fact that cup or tournament wars that are hosted in the TBL happen on a frequency which is lesser than the rate of clan wars that happen in the CBL. This is due to the fact that tournaments take more time to organize and set up than simple clan wars

Because being in a clan and participating in this ladder at the same time can create identification problems (should your team’s clan tags replace the team’s tags, or the contrary, should only team tags be used, etc…), I have set up a system every clan member wishing to participate in this ladder will use.

Now, most clan members have their tags at the beginning of their names, in this manner:

[CLAN TAG][CLAN MEMBER NICKNAME]
Example: evf.IronSky

To avoid confusion, all clan members will add their team’s tags at the end of their nicks, and keep their clan tags in the front. It should now look like this:

[CLAN TAG][CLAN MEMBER NICKNAME][TEAM TAG]
Example: evf.IronSky[Friday]

This system will be used universally in all TBL wars, so please get familiar with it fast.

2. Ladder rules
This ladder uses basically the same rules as the CBL. The only difference here is that team tags must always be included in a clan member’s nickname during cup/tournament wars, to avoid confusion again.
Team members can only be in one team at a time, and may not switch teams at any moment. Teams may have more than three members.

Cup admins (team/clan leaders) also reserve the right to kick inactive members that don’t show up at cup/tournament wars.

3. Joining process and admin recruiting process
The joining/admin joining process for the TBL ressembles very much the joining process of the CBL. It only differs in the overall layout of the application form for the joining process, which is shown below. As a reminder, only clan/team leaders are eligible to sign up their team/clan to the TBL.
a) The name of your team, with the tags
b) Clan you are in (if necessary)
c) Your nickname
d) Your Xfire, or MSN if you don’t have one, or e-mail address
e) Your team’s members (three members at least)
f) Your location (priority is given to American and European clans)
g) Your clan’s website/forum URL (if you have one)
h) Your experience with server management/remote server management

4. Ranking system
The difference with this ranking system is that it will only include 7 different sections:
TN = Team Name + Location
TR = Team Rank
CP = Cups Played
CCP = Cumulative Cup Points (same point system used in the CBL)
CV = Cup Victories
CL = Cup Losses
CD = Cup Draws

Section 3: Official SW Demo War Protocol

This section contains all rules, guidelines and protocols for the many type of wars on the demo. This protocol regulates ladder wars (CBL and TBL), but also regular wars outside ladders.

First of all, what is a “war” in the video gaming world? A war is an event in which two different teams, most commonly clans, fight each other for a specific amount of time, in a specific game mode and in a specific mod. Why do wars happen? Wars happen because they are the only realistic way for a clan to prove it’s superiority over another clan or team.

What kind of wars exist in this demo? There are many kind of wars in the SW Demo. Below is a list of the most common wars you will encounter as well as a brief description of them:

A) Clan Wars: They are the most common form of wars to occur on the demo. They consist of two opposing clans fighting in a specific map (modded or unmodded), game mode (CTF, TDM or Conquest) and specific time limit (most often 30 minutes and 3 rounds) and in a specific server. The most common size of a clan war is a 5v5, and most importantly, clan wars are official (scores are reported, efficient anti-cheat systems are used such as Content-Check mode or Anticheat)

B) Fun Wars: A very common form of war too, fun wars are “mini clan wars” basically. They vary in size from 2v2s to 4v4s. As a result, fun wars are always unofficial, and are, as their name implies, just meant for fun. No anticheat software/Content-Check system will be used here, as they are unofficial

C) Duels: Not a war in itself, but still a form of fighting, duels are 1v1s. They require to be done with Content-Check/Anticheat software turned on and are only official if done in this manner (in addition to reporting the scores by taking screenshots of them)

D) Mix Wars: Less common than clan wars and fun wars, mix wars still occur every now and then on the demo. As their name implies, mix wars are wars where more than two clans fight eachother. Clans typically form alliances with another clan/team and fight the opposing alliance of clans, or the clan/team alone. Mix wars, like fun wars, are also unofficial and do not require to be done with Content-Check/Anticheat software turned on

E) Private Clan Wars: Private clan wars are wars done in a clan (clan A vs clan A) in order to review and practice war strategies before a clan war with another clan. They are always 5v5, unofficial, and done with Content-Check/Anticheat software. Scores don’t need to be reported

F) Cup Wars: Cup wars only occur in the TBL (Team Based Ladder). They vary in size depending on the type of competition which takes place (minimum is always 3v3 though), are always official, are done with Content-Check/Anticheat software, and the scores of every round is always reported

3.1. Clan War Protocol
In order for every clan to dispute a clan war vs an enemy clan, both clans need to agree to an universal protocol on clan wars. This section will focus specifically on this protocol, and will offer a series of rules and guidelines to follow every time there is a clan war. Please take note that this protocol not only affects CBL clan wars, but also wars that are exterior to this ladder. All clans should follow it so there is no ambiguity when it comes to having wars, reporting the results, choosing a map, server, etc…
Here is a list of general guidelines all clans should follow prior to having a clan war vs another clan:

- All clan wars will be 5v5s. No more, no less. So make sure you clan has at least 5 active members that can fight in a clan war before organizing one!
- Rounds will be 30 minutes long, and there will be 3 of them
- There will be room for up to 4 spectators to join the server. These spectators may NOT, at any time, participate in the clan war that is happening, or start chatting with the participants of the clan war
- The two clan leaders, if they are present in the war (and if they are not, they must appoint a member to do it for them) must take screenshots of the scores at the end of each round (so 3 screenshots total)
- Clan leaders will act as referees in the clan war. They will be given remote admin privileges on the SW Demo War Server when it is up. If it is not the case, the war rounds will take place on the respective servers of each clan
- The clan war server (SW Demo War Server) will be passworded, and the clan servers too
- No rage quiting will be tolerated during a clan war, or the opposing clan wins automatically
- If a player must leave during the match, he must advise his/her leader ASAP and get replaced by one of the leader’s backups as promptly as possible
- Screenshots of every players’ IP addresses must be taken at the beginning and end of every round (so there should be 6 IP screenshots total) by the admin/remote admins
- A sudden death knife round will precede the war to determine which clan starts as Axis/Allied, etc
- No trash talking will be tolerated. Clan leaders are responsible for sanctioning their respective members if they abuse of this rule
- All members must wear their respective clan tags during the whole length of the clan war
- In the case of an unprobable draw, another sudden death knife round will occur to pick which clan server to play on in case the SW Demo War Server isn’t online

3.2. Determining which server to play on for a clan war

Every leader who has organized a clan war before knows how much of a hassle it is to pick a server on which to have said clan war. Here, we will propose a set of rules to determine which server is the most logical to have a clan war on, based on the location of the players.

First, how do we know where the server will be hosted? With the “Nationality Majority Rule”! This rule is quite simple. Say, for example that there are five Europeans versus five Americans in a clan war.

Now, which server should we play on? A server located in North America? A server located in Europe? Or a server located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean? None of these answers!

Since there is an equal amount of Europeans and Americans on the server, it is logical to assume that one round on the home turf of each continent is the best choice!
But, what if there is more Europeans than Americans on the server? Then both rounds will take place on an European server.

Reciprocally, if there is a superior number of Americans on the server, both rounds will take place on an American server.

This is the Nationality Majority Rule and it should always be used when wars occur with members coming from different nationalities. Please note that this rule only applies if the SW Demo War Server is not online at the time of the war. If it is online, then the clan war will take place there.

3.3. Specific clan war rules

4. Setting up clan wars
Setting up clan wars can be a hassle. Through the set of rules we will present you, we wish to make this process more user-friendly. We wish to make it as clear as possible for the clan leaders who are responsible, most of the time, for setting up these events. Here are these guidelines:

- Clan leaders should always advise the opposing clan leader at least two weeks before the event. To do this, they should post a clan war application (available in the next section) on the other clan’s forums/site. This gives both clans a chance to practice and review clan war strategies before the said clan war
- Clan leaders should always have backups, in case a member in their line-up has a last minute change of plans and must leave in the middle of a war
- Clan leaders must always be explicit about the date and time of the clan war in particular. They should always post the time zones of all the members which will take place in the clan war, and ask all their members when they are available during the weekends to do the clan war
- As a general rule, the clan war should always take place during weekend evenings and nights, not during the week when people work
- Clan leaders are responsible for advising the opposing clan’s leader(s) for any last minute change, such as a different map, new rule, change in the line-up, etc. This should be done at least three days before the clan war
- Clan leaders and clan leaders only may set up wars versus other clan. Regular members of a clan are not eligible to do so

4.1. Clan War Application
Clan leaders that wish to challenge another clan will submit the following form and post it on the opposing clan’s forum or board.

A) The name of your clan (plus the tags)
B) Your nickname, with the clan tags
C) Your Xfire/E-mail adress
D) Your clan site’s URL, or forum URL (preferred)
E) Type of clan war (choose between the 13 types mentioned above, in section 3)
F) Date and time of the clan war (weekends only)
G) Your roster
H) Your backups

When posting a clan war challenge on another clan’s forum or board, your topic’s title should look like this:

[Date][YOUR CLAN TAG] vs [ENEMY CLAN TAG]

As for the message’s body, simply reiterate the points in the form above and answer them correspondingly.
